About Limelight
Limelight Performing Arts Pageant is brand new to the dance convention circuit and is currently in its 3rd season. Founded by Cristina Schubert, Limelight's goal is to give dancers of all ages and abilities a more affordable opportunity to participate in master classes and perform in front of a live audience.
At a typical Limelight pageant and convention, dancers can expect to spend their day taking master classes in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Modern and Hip Hop. Additional master classes are also provided in Improv/Acting technique as well as Audition technique. During the latter part of the day, dancers are welcomed into the limelight to perform their dance routines in front of a live audience. During each performance, master class instructors will provide each studio with a written critique of each performance. And that's not all! Two hours of each convention will be dedicated to an Audition course which will give dancers the opportunity to audition for Scholarship and Title awards.
Limelight is not about winning trophies. Our goal is to give dancers an opportunity to take their dancing to the next level by taking classes from Top performing arts instructors. It is our hope that all participants will go home having learned many valuable and new skills, as well as having gained new confidence in their dreams and abilities as dancers.
