Why is enrollmet
limited to 150 dancers?
Enrollment
is limited to maintain a small student to teacher ratio and allow for more individualized
attention. We want all participants to fully experience the convention without
having to struggle to find room to dance or see what the instructors are teaching.
What will I learn during Audition Prep and Auditions?
During your Audition Prep class, Limelight's professional Faculty will be giving you audition tips and teaching you audition techniques. There will also be a Question & Answer portion of the class where you can ask any questions you may have about trying to get started in show business. During Auditions you will be learning a short routine which will be immediately auditioned before a panel of judges. The selected dancers receive Title Awards and scholarships towards future Limelight Conventions or cash awards.

The Pageant allows you to showcase your skills in front of a live audience without the pressure of competing for a prize. However, your routine will be critiqued by a panel of professional dancers and choreographers. This will help you improve your dance routine for future performances and competitions.
Will my routine be critiqued?
Yes! A panel of professional dancers and choreographers will give you a written critique of all your performances. Critiques will be mailed to your studio after the Convention.
